New music from Pusha T has finally arrived.
The song was originally previewed on Monday (February 7) by Pusha’s manager and Victor Victor Worldwide founder/CEO Steven Victor, who teased the song by sharing a clip from the music video that is set to arrive later today.
The track produced by Kanye West and 88 Keys opens with Fat Joe’s now famous “Yesterday’s price is not today’s price,” and finds King Push peddling his usual coke raps.
“Diet Coke” is the first single from
the Virginia native’s upcoming album, which he claims will be “the album of the muthafuckin’ year.”
“A Pusha album takes a long time. It takes a long time to put this shit together, but when it comes together, ain’t nothing fucking with it,” he told Complex. “We stamping that on everything. I don’t care what they say, how they act. I don’t care how viral they go, none of that. Nothing is f-cking with it.
“I’m on some one thousand percent rap superhero shit, man. There’s a lot going on,” he continued, before adding “You know me, I have to reinvent myself. I just have to reinvent my greatness.”
The follow-up to 2018’s DAYTONA, reportedly titled It’s Not Dry Yet is expected to arrive later this year. Until then, listen to “Diet Coke” below.
