Raphael Nii Ankrah got public attention due to the occurrence, as Raphael Nii Ankrah is ranked 589th in the ITF Junior World Rankings. Anrakh is only 16 years old at the moment, and he moved to the next round after defeating Michael Kouame.
In the second round, Nii will face fellow countryman Ishmael Nii Nortey Dowuona.
In the first round of the ITF junior event, Raphael Ankrah defeated Michael Kouame of France by scores of 6-2, 6-7, 7-6, and Kouame, apparently upset about something, smacked Ankrah while shaking hands.

He went on to say, “However, that does not excuse my behavior. I would like to apologize to Raphael publicly. I was wrong and completely out of line.”
