The tragic death of rapper Shiraz Rude Bwoy has hit his fans so hard, as it was unexpected.
Rapper Shiraz reportedly passed away while performing at the anti-government protest site in the early hours of Tuesday.
Shiraz Yoonus was a well-known Sri Lankan rapper, who is well-known by his stage name Rude Bwoy. He served the music industry with some hit music albums.

Shiraz Yoonus aka Rude Bwoy was one of the pioneers in the rap scene in Colombo with a massive fan following. His last performance was at the GotaGoHome Protest on 12th April 2022.
Rude Bwoy’s unexpected death was a sudden illness and suspected a heart failure, that he suffered last night during the protest at the Galle Face Green.
After the night occurrence, there was an update this morning, on the official Facebook page of Shiraz- Rude Bwoy Lankan posted an obituary notice on the sudden demise of the rapper. As per the statement, he died after his performance at the GotaGoaHome Protest on 12th April 2022.
Which stated that, “Sri Lankan Reggae, Dancehall Rap King Collapsed soon after his performance on 12.04.2022 at the GotaGoaHome Protest.” It further said, “On his behalf I take this opportunity to thank you all his family and fans here and around the globe for supporting him through his long journey.”

According to the statement, a pioneer Sri Lankan rap artist, Shiraz Yoonus, better known by his stage name “Shiraz Rude Bwoy,” sadly passed away in the early hours of Tuesday (12), after performing for the crowds in Galle Face Green in Colombo.
“A popular rap artist in Sri Lanka titled “Rude Bwoy Lankan” aka Shiraz passed away at the Peoples’ Protest premised early this morning, following his performance “Get Up Stand Up” by Boby Marly, reported NewsNow360 on Twitter.
Rude Bwoy had an estimated net worth of about $1million to $3million at the time of his death, which is not yet verified. May his soul rest in peace.
