Rebecca Ziba was arrested recently, she is reported to be the 21-year-old Zambian student who released the video of herself twerking in front of the World War II Memorial.
Rebecca was arrested and she was charged with alleged Nazism, as she was detained for reportedly “rehabilitating Nazism” by twerking in front of a war memorial.
After Rebecca did the video, she posted it on her instagram page, she was caught after posting a video of herself on Instagram.
She can be seen dancing near a World War II memorial in Khanty-Mansiysk in the video, which was shared with a funny caption.
After her arrest, the Russian investigators called her conduct “obscene” and “insulting,” and they prosecuted her under Part 4 of Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code. The code charges a person with “rehabilitating nazism.”
According to the regional Investigative Committee, the video of Ziba dancing was released on social media “supported with an unpleasant inscription.”
If found guilty of “desecrating a symbol of Russian military pride,” the student faces up to three years in jail. Furthermore, she can get a fine of up to three million roubles (€34,430).
The Glory Memorial in Khanty-Mansiysk honors servicemen who died during the “Great Patriotic War” against Nazi Germany.
The Russian Investigative Committee also released a video showing Ziba sitting in what looks to be an interrogation chamber. She is confessing or apologizing for her acts is yet to be disclosed to the public.

Netizens on the internet are chastising her. Furthermore, she was laughing while twerking on the video, and no one buys her claim that she was oblivious of the onor service being held.
While some expressed his concern for Rebeca in their tweet. He wrote, “Russia is at war, and governments in war require propaganda to mobilize their people behind them.”
