Dan Walker’s replacement has been selected by The BC Breakfast management, who happens to be Jon Kay, and he is expected to take over after he leaves.
Dan Walker is known as the cheery morning presenter we’re used to seeing on our televisions. But not anymore on the BC Breakfast, as he is reportedly Leaving.
Walker has announced that he will be leaving BBC Breakfast on May 17th and that this will be his final episode. However, Dan only works Monday through Wednesday, and he only has six shows left.
Meet Dan Walker’s Replacement, Jon Kay.
Dan Walker will be replaced by Jon Kay, who is already a fan favorite among BBC viewers, which is perhaps why he’s a 1/2 chance to fill Dan Walker’s shoes.
He is most recognized for his work on BBC News as a television presenter, newsreader, and journalist.
He started his career as a reporter for BBC Radio Bristol after working at local BBC radio stations. He currently covers the southwest as a news correspondent for the BBC’s leading news channel.
He’s also known to be a regular host on BBC Breakfast, making him a terrific fit for the post and an excellent contender for an internal promotion.
Bookies are confident that BBC Breakfast star Jon Kay will take Dan’s place, according to the Daily Personality. Jon fills up for him when Dan is out on vacation, presenting alongside Naga Munchetty and Sally Nugent.
Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati told the Daily Star exclusively that it’s increasingly probable that BBC management has chosen Dan’s replacement with Jon. He is also no stranger to the Breakfast family.
Jon presently has a 1/2 chance of replacing Dan. When contacted by Entertainment Daily!, the BBC said “no comment.”
Jon most recently filled in for Dan when he was absent from the sofa in early March. And viewers were quick to congratulate Jon again on social media at the time.
One Twitter user tweeted as Jon is a fantastic presenter. Following his discussion with Transportation Secretary Grant Schnapps, one person wrote, “great effort from Jon.”
Reason Behind Dan Walker Leaving BC Breakfast
Dan Walker is known to be a 45-year-old host, who hasn’t stated his reasons for Leaving BC Breakfast. However, he has stated that the move to Channel 5 would provide him with “huge goals, with great ideas,” making it an offer he couldn’t turn down.
Messages of congrats filled his Twitter feed after his announcement. However, other Twitter users reacting to the news thought that the decision was made because of a more significant income.
Also, an afternoon starts rather than his current 4 a.m. wake-up call would make work/life balance simpler. As a result, Dan may have more time with his family.
Louise Minchin, who left Breakfast in September 2021, expressed her public appreciation. He won’t miss the early morning calls, as he said. Dan retweeted, “Ah… the magical world of lie-ins,” he replied. This means he’ll be taking advantage of the extra time in bed in the mornings.
Jon Kay Relationship Status Update
Jon Kay is happily married to Francesca Kasteliz, a former journalist and BBC News Correspondent who is now a TV presenting coach (TV Coach).
In the Bristol newsroom, the engaged couple met and married in 1998 and have got three kids together.
However, it is clear that she was his girlfriend for some time, and it is her wish that he did not sufficiently disclose the name and other details about his life partner and the mother of his three children. He mentioned her in a few tweets, but none of the posts included her photographs or name.
