Rick Ross sued for using Jay-Z Roc-sign photo in video.
(NEWS) These days you can’t sample songs, mention a name of an artist on your track or in Rick Ross’s case use a pic of Hov in your video, without getting sued.
A photographer named Armen Djerrahian is accusing Rick Ross of using a photo he took of Jay Z back in 2003 without checking with him. The photo shows Hov throwing up the famous Roc sign-hand gesture which represents his label, Roc-A-Fella Records.
The image of Hov throwing the sign popped up in Ross’s Movin Bass video which features Jay Z. Although the photo was for a slight second, Armen isn’t having it. He is now suing Rick Ross and Def Jam for all the profits they made using the image, and a court order to block them from further use.
We can’t get sued for using the image because we don’t have any money, ha!
