Rihanna finally offers an update on the status of her long-awaited ninth album. The cosmetic mogul, who hasn’t released an album in six years told the Associated Press at the red carpet of her Savage x Fenty Show Volume 3 that her next album will be unlike anything she’s ever released.
“You’re not gonna expect what you hear,” she said in a video released Wednesday.

Her last album, the classic Anti was released in 2016. While music is no longer top priority for the billionaire singer, Rihanna has been focused on building her Fenty Beauty empire which Forbes estimates to be worth around $1.4 billion.
This Friday, September 24 Rihanna will be launching the third installment of her new Savage x Fenty collection. The event airing exclusively on Amazon Prime will feature performances by Nas, Normani, BIA, Jazmine Sullivan, Ricky Martin, Jade Novah and Daddy Yankee, while the new collection will showcase her new lines of bras, underwear and sleepwear.
She’s also reportedly considering getting married to boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
“These two are so madly in love, and it’s true there’s a lot of buzz in their circle about an engagement being in the works.”
