Ronnie Joe Albea Death – We are extremely devastated to announce the death of Ronnie Joe Albea, 41, of Augusta, Georgia, has been identified as the victim shot dead Friday night in an apparent attempted robbery in Bibb County.
Ronnie Joe Albea was fatally shot at a Macon Walmart in an attempted carjacking in Macon Friday night.
Ronnie Joe Albea and his fiancé were in the parking lot area of the Walmart Supercenter on Harrison Road in Macon, when he was approached by two men demanding his car keys. Ronnie Joe Albea refused and a fight ensued. During the fight Albea was shot in the chest.
Ronnie Joe Albea was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Investigators say they are seeking two suspects described as a tall and slender man, and a short and heavyset man. Both are believed to be in their early 20s.
