The war between Russian and Ukariane is not a new news, as many have lost their lives to it. On February 24, 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine, escalating the Russo-Ukrainian War in 2014.
When the war started, with over six million Ukrainians fleeing the country and a fourth of the population displaced, the invasion has triggered Europe’s most significant refugee crisis since World War II.

Ukrainian defenses have been in place in the region since the conflict began in 2014, based on the reports of UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), and Russian forces have struggled to gain any traction.
According to the ISW, a successful recent counteroffensive by Ukrainian forces in Kharkiv, northwest of Izyum, has progressed towards the Russian border and forced some Russian artillery out of range of the city.
This will most likely require Russia to fortify its positions in the region to defend supply lines, putting a halt to offensive operations elsewhere.
Russian forces made swift gains in the south at first, with the primary goal of establishing a land corridor between Crimea, which it invaded in 2014, and territory controlled by Russian-backed separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk.
