The authority in have announce the arrest of two young men, Serhat Gumrukcu and Berk Eratay. Both suspect were arrested on Tuesday following thier suspected involvement in some crimes in the area and even beyond expecially in the murder of Gregory Davis.
A 34 years old man, Jerry Banks has been arrested previously regarding a kidnap of Gregory Davis from his home in Danville on January 6, 2018, according to the records in court. Jerry is from Fort Garland, Colorado
Serhat Gumrukcu, 39, of Los Angeles, and Berk Eratay, 35, of Las Vegas, were arrested on Tuesday for their criminal work of murdering a person.
Similarly, Federal agents detained two more individuals on Tuesday in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a Vermont man in 2018, who was later found shot to death in the hamlet of Barnet.
Davis was discovered dead in a snowbank many miles from his home on January 7, 2018. The government has not charged Banks with Davis’s murder but has accused him of doing so.
Gumrukcu is scheduled to appear in the Central District of California United States District Court later today. Eratay will appear in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada later today.
Serhat Gumrukcu and Berk Eratay were caught on the charges of conspiring to use interstate commerce facilities to commission a murder-for-hire that resulted in the death of Gregory Davis, of Danville, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Vermont.
Davis’s body was discovered on Peacham Road in Barnet the next day. The Colorado guy is suspected of carrying out the murder but has yet to be charged. Aron Lee Ethridge of Nevada was also arrested for a kidnapping conspiracy.
In addition to that, Gumrukcu and Eratay are charged with simple accusations, and they are assumed innocent until and unless they are proven guilty. If convicted, they will be sentenced to life in prison or the death penalty.
As of now, Serhat Gumrukcu is around 39 years old and comes from Los Angeles, and Berk Eratay is around the age of 35 and belongs to Las Vegas as per sources.
It can be assumed that they belong to that place, and maybe their family also resides there until other information is not updated.
