CBS shared the emotional clip of John’s initiative in the cold case. Stephaine was not arrested until 2009, when the case was reopened with the aid of advanced technology.
Stephaine had bit Sherri’s arm, and the advanced DNA test later found her DNA remnants. Her jealousy and constant interference between John and Sherri led her to kill Sherri.
Moreover, the perpetrator went on to have a successful police career and even got close with John after the murder.

John Ruetten and his family’s current whereabouts are not available for public display at the moment.
He was so disturbed by his wife’s death that he left the city. Meanwhile, he had remarried and decided to stay away from the limelight.
