Sidney Crosby is out of Game 5 after a high hit, according to a video Leaked on Twitter.

In the second half of Wednesday’s Game 5 against the New York Rangers, the Pittsburgh Penguins star departed the game and is yet to return to the bench for Game 3.
In the second quarter, Crosby only played six shifts, missing the last 6:50.

After being hit high by a New York linebacker while batting within the Rangers’ zone, he appeared startled. Crosby shook as he walked off the ice and onto the bench.

With 10:49 remaining, Crosby had 0 goals and 0 assists for Ice Age. The 34-year-old has two goals and seven assists in four playoff games.

The Rangers were up 3-1 in the seven-game series when the two teams met in Game 5.

In the second half of Game 5 against the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby made an unexpected exit. Three minutes before the deadline, he was back in the locker room. He was reportedly escorted through the tunnel by a coach.

Crosby was knocked out by Jacob Trouba’s high hit. The Penguins had Evgeni Malik skating with top winger despite no sign of a return.

Crosby’s nine points in Game 5 were tied for second in the series.

In this series, the Penguins are without Tristan Jarre, Brian Dumoulin, and Ricard Lacker.
