British Nigerian artist Skepta recently dropped a new five track EP titled All In. The project, which you can stream here contains features from Kid Cudi, J Balvin and Teezee.
During a recent interview in support of the EP, the “Vicious” rapper talked about his support for Nigeria/Nigerians and how working with Wizkid was more important to him than working with Drake.
“Me and Drake’s first meeting musically was on a Wizkid record. That was more important to me than asking Drake to jump on a song of mine,” he said.
Skepta’s choice of words shouldn’t come as a surprise as he was pivotal in kick starting Wizkid’s international ascension. Back in 2016 he put Drake onto his “Bad Energy” collaborator and the duo joined him on the remix of his smash hit Ojuelegba.
From there Wizkid continued his relationship with Drake collaborating on Hush Up The Silence, One Dance and Come Closer.
Big Smoke and Big Wiz have two songs together including “Energy (Stay Far Away)” and Longtime.
A Skepta and Wizkid joint EP is long overdue.
