The medical examiner’s office has positively identified a body found in San Diego Sheriff’s jurisdiction as our missing man, Stanley Stephens.
An arrest has been made in connection with the case of Stanley Stephens, who was reported missing from his home on N Broadway. Eduardo Zamora is still currently in custody and has been arraigned on murder charges.
The 71-year-old was known to walk in the area around his home daily, and was reported missing on August 13th. An extensive search was conducted in the area, to no avail.
Believing Stephens may be the victim of foul play, Escondido Police Detectives began an investigation into his disappearance.
The investigation led to an arrest of 32-year-old Escondido resident Eduardo Zamora for murder. Zamora was known to drive a silver 2015 Honda Civic with a CA license plate of 7MYW007.
