Back in May, Swizz Beatz announced that he was working on a new album called “Poison.” As time went on, the legendary producer revealed that the project would feature contributions from Nas, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Pusha-T, Young Thug and more.
In a recent interview with VIBE, the Grammy winning producer shared more details concerning the soon come album. Along with confirming the aforementioned names as features on the LP, he also revealed that the album would focus more on content.
“I wanted it to be lyrically, the best album this year, last year, and the year after,” Swizz said. “As a producer, you either want to make someone sound better than they usually are, or better than they’ve been in a long time.”
“Some people think I’m crazy because I took off some big, number one records that would’ve charted on Billboard,” he added. “But when you do what’s passionate, who knows what can be a number one hit?”
His last album “One Man, Band Man” was released eleven years ago. A new collaboration with Lil Wayne is set to drop this week out now.
