Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant finally speaks on Meek Mill’s insensitive lyrics about her late husband.
“Dear Meek Mill,” she wrote on her Instagram story. “I find this line to be very insensitive and disrespectful. Period. I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way for you to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”
On the unknown, and now controversial track, which features Lil Baby, Meek Mill references Kobe Bryant’s fatal helicopter crash in a distasteful way.
“This bitch I’m fuckin’ always tell me that she love me but she ain’t ever showed me,” Meek raps in his verse. “Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe/Shit.”
Meek Mill seemingly responded to Vanessa’s comments about him, saying “Ion trust people gotta play it raw,” he tweeted. “I’m going back to Savage in this shit … f#%k ya feelings.”
