Building an empire that connects the worlds of weed and music, Berner is one of hip-hop’s savviest businessmen. Holing up in his studio with more weed than the average person sees in his or her life, Berner shares “Box Boy,” his new music video, directed by Sebastian Maldonado.
Defined by disorienting strings, the track features an appearance from Latin rapper Pablo Chill-E, who raps in both English and Spanish. In the video, Berner and Pablo pack pound after pound of Cali’s finest bud as they mob in the studio, before taking a joyride in Berner’s Mercedes Benz.
“Box Boy” is a highlight track from La Plaza, Berner’s 36th studio album and his fourth of 2019., and follows the video for the Reggaeton-inflected “No Borders” featuring Eladio Carrión.
