About two months ago, The Black Eyed Peas released their seventh studio album “Masters Of The Sun Vol. 1.” The somewhat disappointing project signaled a return to the Group’s hip hop and boom bap style of their early career.
The Grammy-Award winning trio return this week with a video for one of the project’s standout tracks “BACK 2 HIPHOP” featuring Nas. The Queensbridge legend makes an appearance in the video as the golden Pharaoh seen on his I Am… album cover.
Serving as their first album in eight years, and the first without Fergie since 2000’s Bridging The Gap, “Masters Of The Sun Vol. 1” features guest appearances from Slick Rick, Nas, Nicole Scherzinger, Ali Shaheed and the late Phife Dawg.
