Nas was honored Friday night at VIBE’s impact awards at L.A.’s Carondelet house. Swzz Beatz, Busta Rhymes and No I.D. all attended the event including J. Cole who represented a younger generation of artists who grew up listening to Nas. In the clip above, J. Cole gives a touching speech to his idol.
Nas returned the favor later in the event by saying , “Cole is a part of this new energy that’s happening…its MCs again.”
