Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar join forces in the exciting new trailer for the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show set to hold at Los Angeles’ SoFi stadium next month (February 13).
Directed by Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray,” the trailer dubbed “The Call” plays out like an origin story and finds all five superstars coming together for the first time from all over the country.
The cinematic clip opens with Eminem battling his alter ego Slim Shady in the studio when he gets the call from Dr. Dre. Snoop is cruising through L.A. in his lowrider when Dre rings him up, while Mary J. Blige is on set of a photo shoot, and joins the crew from New York.
Kendrick Lamar can be found furiously writing rhymes at his desk to the tune of his hit “HUMBLE,” before being summoned by Dre. It ends with them meeting up at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
“Each time I collaborate with Dre, it seems to mark an important moment in entertainment history, from projects like Friday, Set It Off, Straight Outta Compton, to now the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show,” said F. Gary Gray. “As a super fan, I consider it an honor and privilege to authentically build and create this moment with five of the most legendary artists in music history. It’s been a blast!”
