Where Is Azizulhasni Awang Now? Track Cyclist Injury Update

Azizulhasni Awang is a well-known professional track cyclist, who was hospitalizeds after an accident.

Azizulhasni Awang, is the only champ to win a medal in several Olympics tournaments. People mainly know him by his nickname “The Pocket Rocketman.”

Azizulhasni is known as a ten times Asian Champion has loads of followers who took inspiration from him.

Azizulhasni Awang, a professional track Sprinter rider, is reportedly known to be in a cycling accident. He recently shared a post with his beloved followers with a picture of him being in a hospital bed.

He captioned the photos as “Aku bersyukur dengan segala nikmat dan ujian dari Mu Ya Allah…” Following his currebt post people have well-wished for his speed recovery, and good health.

In 2011, Azizulhasni Awang went through a severe injury following a crash where a 20cm wooden splinter went through his leg. He underwent surgery to remove it but got ruled out of the World Championships.

Regardless of getting injured, he managed to finish the race in third. He then collapsed and was taken on the stretcher to pull out the pierced wood.

At the time, John Beasley, a Malaysian head coach, mentioned, “The only way they can do it is by surgically going in from both ends and spreading it apart and pulling it out.”

Azizulhasni Awang was born on 5 January 1988 in Kuala Dungun, Terengganu, Malaysia. In 2022, he reached 34 years of age.

As per his Wikipedia profile, the cyclist’s full name is Muhammad Azizulhasni bin Awang. He is 1.68m in height and has outstanding skills as a sprinter.

Azizulhasni Awang grew up with his adopted parents, Mustafa Ngah and Selamiah Yong but was born to his biological parents, Awang Embong and Rokiah Husin.

He is the eighth child of his born parents, who have nine kids. The cyclist now has his own family with his wife, Athiah Ilyana Abd Samat.
