The tragic death of people has hit their world so hard, as Mathew Reynold was known to be boat skipper.
He recently faced six charges of manslaughter after his involvement in the Syndey Harbour Boat accident.
Two men were found guilty of causing the deaths of their friends in a boat crash on Sydney Harbour in 2010
Mathew Ronalds and Percy Small are the two men, and for this incident they were both jailed for at least five years.
Ashlei Ayres, Alexandre Nikakis, Jessica Holloway, Alexander Rumiz, Stacey Wright, and Elisabeth Holder were the victim, who reportedly died in the crash with the trawler Jordan.
Mathew Reynold was one of the two men who were found guilty of their friend’s death in a Sydney harbors boat accident.
He was a boat skipper. He handed the boat wheel to passenger Percy Small before it collided with the trawler. It was reported that, before taking a boat for a joy ride, the group of friends were earlier at a party at Balmain.
Despite the limited capacity, the boat had 14 people on board while it was licensed to carry just eight.
Moreover, the court found that Reynold had been drinking and negligently handed the controls to Small, who drove the boat at the crash. Likewise, it was also reported that Small also snorted cocaine and smoked 10 or 11 cones of marijuana in the 12 hours before the collision.
Reynold faced six charges of manslaughter, and Small was indicted with six counts of dangerous navigation occasioning death.
Mathew Reynolds is currently 45 years old, as he was 33 years old in 2010 when they made news for their actions.
He father stated that “the jail sentence was unfair,” adding, “He didn’t deserve a day in there.”
He also mentioned that it was deplorable that two boats had been involved in the collision, but no other charges had been laid. Furthermore, it was found that Reynolds’ girlfriend, also mother-of-two Ashlie Ayres, was among those killed.
