Who Is Shontover Kirkland? Prison For Woman Who Caused Two Deaths In Clarks Hill Lake

For pushing a man off a pontoon boat and into a lake in northeast Georgia, resulting in the deaths of both the guy who was pushed and another man who followed him into the water, Georgia woman Shontover Kirkland is given a one-year sentence with nine years of probation. The tragedy happened at a ship launch on Clarks Hill Lake in April of the previous year. Shontover acknowledged paying for an unintentional death. Let’s read the story below to learn more about the woman, her expenses, and other information.
According to reports, the Georgia woman entered a guilty plea on Tuesday to two counts of involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct in connection with the drowning deaths of two men in 2021. Kirkland was given a sentence of one year in prison and nine years of probation. Edward Lee Kirk and Eynn Wilson are the names of two men who allegedly perished after the woman pushed them into the lake.

In reaction to the cops, the woman shoved Edward into Clarks Hills Lake. To save Edward, his friend dove into the sea, but soon after, they both vanished beneath the surface. Kirkland, a 32-year-old woman, had hired two pontoon boats for the day of the tragedy at the time of her arrest. According to intelligence sources, there were apparently more than a dozen persons celebrating a birthday on the boats.

According to an investigation, Kirkland “did unlawfully endanger the bodily safety of Edward Lee Kirk by consciously disregarded a substantial and unjustifiable risk that her act of pushing him off a boat into deep, cold water on Clarks Jill Lake without knowing whether or not he could swim would endanger the safety of said person and the disregard constituted a gross deviation from the standard care which a reasonable person would exemplify.” It will soon be revealed that the Georgia woman acknowledged pushing the boys into the lake and later apologized to each of their families.

However, since they lost their important ones, an apology won’t be able to improve their psychological conditions. In another instance, the police intervened to stop a fight between Kirkland’s relatives and the victims’ relatives. Even though Shontover Kirkland was apprehended and admitted to her crime, it doesn’t bring back the two lives that were lost. The unfortunate deaths of the family members are currently being mourned by the houses. Keep checking back with us for more of these updates and the most recent news.
