Yasiin Bey was arrested in South Africa weeks back for allegedly trying to use a “fake” passport to leave the country. He and his family were given 14 days to live S.A. The rapper formerly known as Mos Def had kept quiet about the situation till now. In a lengthy voicemail sent to Kanye West titled No More Parties In SA, Bey tells his side of the story stating that he did nothing illegal and that the “world passport” he tried to leave South Africa with is legal and accepted everywhere. The U.S rapper says he feels the whole thing is politically motivated and that he did nothing wrong.
After spitting a few raps Yasiin announced that he’d be calling it quits after his last album due sometime this year.
