Hot off his soon to be No. 1 album DAMN.. Kendrick Lamar sat down with Zane Lowe for an in-depth interview about the new LP. During their sit down, K. Dot spoke intensively about the new project, his rap influences, the challenges of creating a dope album, Barack Obama’s advice on longevity, working with Rihanna on LOYALTY, Donald Trump and much more.
The interview which is an Apple exclusive was filmed days before his headlining set at Coachella this past weekend.
According to Billboard “DAMN.” is projected to move over 530,000 copies in its first week, surpassing Drake’s “More Life” numbers, which debuted with 505,000 units in its opening week.
The album is also on course to launch at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart next week.
