Trey Songz, through his legal team have come out to deny the recent rape allegations by basketball player Dylan Gonzalez.
Former UNLV player Dylan Gonzalez accused Trey Songz of raping her in a “well known” Las Vegas hotel several years ago, and finally made the news public in 2021, just in time for the New Year.
“Trey Songz is a rapist. Lord forgive me I Couldn’t hold that in another year. See you in 2022” she tweeted on December 30th.
On Tuesday (January 11), Dylan followed up by releasing a full length statement via Instagram. The statement reads, “With what seems like endlessly reoccurring news of the alleged sexual assaults committed by Trey Song, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind, and suffer anew, the long suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas Hotel.”
The statement continued, “I want to send my love, strength, and hope to all who are victims of sexual assault and its fatal nature. You are not alone. I stand with you and encourage all those who have suffered abuse to speak out and come forward. Suppression of our voices only emboldens our oppressors, and you cannot heal what you do not reveal.”
Trey Songz is denying the allegations and a rep for the singer tells TMZ he will be exonerated after the legal process plays out.
“Trey and his team are confident in the legal process and that there will be an abundance of exonerating information to come over the next few weeks.”
But Dylan’s legal team, attorneys Ariel Mitchell and George Vrabeck, tell TMZ they plan on exploring all legal avenues possible, including filing a civil suit and will take actions in the next few weeks.
