YoungBoy Never Broke Again went hard on some of his peers last month on “I Hate YoungBoy.” The menacing track featured questionable lyrics aimed at Lil Durk and his girlfriend, India Royale, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby and Boosie.
“Feel like Boosie don’t even like me, btch, don’t call my phone (Fck you),” he raps.
Boosie had offered to mentor YoungBoy in the past, so it’s unclear what prompted YB to switch up on his fellow Baton Rouge rapper. Notwithstanding, Boosie wasn’t going to let the disrespect slide and eventually responded with “I Don’t Call Phones, I Call Shots.”
On the track he addressed his relationship with YB, and questions why he didn’t just speak to him instead.
“That ain’t how I fuckin’ rock, I’m stickin’ to the code, youngin,” raps Boosie. “If you felt that way, why you ain’t call me on my phone number?”
Hours later he took to Instagram Live to explain why he decided to go hard on his former protégé.
“Can y’all please get off my live with that sh*t,” Boosie said. “He said what he said, I said what I said. I don’t want to pop his top. Real sht. I don’t want to pop his top. He said what he said, I said what I said. I ain’t speaking no more on it. He pissed me off though. N-gga hurt my feelings and he pissed me off, I thought that was my little dog, f-ck it.”
Gucci Mane, who was also dissed on the track has seemingly responded to YoungBoy with a new track called “Publicity Stunt.”
