Since his return from prison back in February Bobby Shmurda has faced mild criticisms for failing to capitalize on his post-prison popularity, and also for his dancing. The Hot N-gga has been accused of unprovoked twerking in his vidoes by fans on social media.
Although Bobby already responded to the criticisms, Cardi B is now speaking on his behalf. Not sure what prompted her comments but the mother of two said both Bobby and Rowdy Rebel used to get Rikers “rockin” whenever she visited.
“Y’all really be trying Bobby cause he be dancing and no lie when I used to do visits in Rikers, Bobby and Rowdy were always in OBC solitary confinement cause they was getting it rockin,’” Cardi tweeted on Sunday, December 19. “Them boys ain’t punked out in jail really stood on their sh-t, Unlike a lot of rappers.”
During a previous interview with Akademiks on his Off The Record podcast, Bobby Shmurda, now 27 addressed the negative comments about his “zesty” dance moves.
“We be laughin’ at that shit,” Shmurda said about the comments of him twerking. He later asked Akademiks for clarification on the people making the jokes.
“You talkin’ ’bout the n-ggas or the girls? You talkin’ ’bout the n-ggas? It gotta be the n-ggas,” he said. “Alright, so those be the n-ggas that be like, ‘this n-gga Bobby taking all the bitches, son. This n-gga Bobby always fuckin’ on all the bitches. I can’t doing all that shit now my girl asking me to whine.’ It’s those type of n-ggas.”
He added, “Why if Chris Brown whine they ain’t say nothin’? Why if Beenie Man whine they don’t say nothin’?”
Cardi said Bobby is just happy to be home after spending seven years in jail, and is allowed to celebrate his freedom however he likes.
“He’s Happy ass FUCK !!full of life !!! HE DID 7 years in fucking jail,” she responded to a Twitter user who quoted her tweet about Bobby Shmurda. “Celebrate freedom everyday and however the fuck you want to do it !!!”
Cardi B is also living her best life and recently made history by becoming the first female rapper with three Diamond songs.
