DMX recruits Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine and Westside Gunn for ‘Hood Blues.’
DMX’s first posthumous album is set to arrive this Friday. Featuring appearances from the likes of Nas and Jay-Z, the project will be DMX’s first album in 12 years.
To get the excitement up, not like it wasn’t at fever levels already, Swizz Beatz unleashes the project’s first single “Hood Blues” featuring Benny The Butcher, Conway The Machine and Westside Gunn.
Produced by Avenue Beatz and Swizz Beatz, Hood Blues finds the Dark Man and the Griselda trio narrating their hood adventures over a flip of Sean Price’s “Figure Four.”
“Sometimes I can’t manage all the shit in my head/I was promised the world, but got the dirt instead,” X taps. “Stood in the light, I was bred to shed blood/It’s always gonna be fuck you, n*a, what!”
Exodus also boasts guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Usher, Bono, Moneybagg Yo and more.
