Certified Lover Boy has arrived.
Released a week after Kanye West’s Donda, Drake’s long-awaited CLB is led by the previously released single “Laugh Now Cry Later” featuring Lil Durk.
Described by Drake as a “combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of truth,” the project executive produced by Drizzy, Noah ‘40’ Shebib, Oliver El-Khatib, and Noel Cadastre is dedicated to Nadia Ntuli and Mercedes Morr.
Miss Mercedes Morr, an Instagram influencer, was recently reported to have been found dead in her Texas apartment. According to local authorities, she is believed to have been the victim of a murder-suicide.
Nadia Ntuli was a UK model who reportedly died earlier this year in a motor accident in Dubai.

Serving as his sixth studio album, and first full length since 2018’s “Scorpion,” Certified Lover Boy is stacked with 21-tracks and includes guest appearances from Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Rick Ross, Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Yebba, Tems, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, and more.
The album was first announced to arrive in the summer of 2020 and then January, but was delayed to allow the Toronto rapper fully recover from knee surgery.
“I was planning to release my album this month,” he wrote on Instagram, “but between surgery and rehab my energy has been dedicated to recovery.”
“I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album,” he continued, “but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”
Aubrey kept his fans busy with his Scary Hours EP and Dark Lane Demo Tapes while he worked on finishing CLB.
Following weeks of speculations Drizzy unveiled on SportsCenter that the often-delayed album would be arriving September 3rd.
The wait is over and the highly-anticipated album has finally arrived.
