Eminem is immortalizing his mom’s spaghetti which he referenced on his 2002 hit song “Lose Yourself.”
“His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy/ There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti,” Em raps on the song.
Fans will now have a taste of the famous spaghetti when Eminem opens the Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant next week, September 29 in Downtown Detroit. In a commercial that aired on WXYZ, Em revealed that the diner will serve up simple dishes like the s’ghetti sandwich and, spaghetti with and without meatballs.
According to the The Detroit News, Mom’s Spaghetti is part of a partnership with Union Joints restaurant group, which also worked with Eminem for his previous Mom’s Spaghetti pop-ups. If you recall the Grammy-Award winning rapper set up a mom’s spaghetti pop up shop in 2017 that coincided with the release of his ninth studio album “Revival.” He also delivered 400 “mom’s spaghetti” dishes to hospital workers in Detroit last year.
Mom’s Spaghetti opens at 5 p.m. local time on Sept. 29. It’s located at 2131 Woodward Avenue. Stans can call 313-888-8388 for more information.
