Is Kanye West dropping a new album this Friday? It’s the word on the streetz.
Kanye West is rumored to be dropping his new album on July 23. According to multiple reports, West reportedly held a listening party in Las Vegas on Sunday night (July 18).
Internet personality Justin Laboy confirmed the speculations, claiming Kanye West played the album for him and pro basketball player Kevin Durant over the weekend.
“Kanye played his new album for me & @KDTrey5 last night in Vegas,” he tweeted. “Man listen! The production is light years ahead of it’s time, and the bars sound like he’s broke & hungry trying to get signed again. Any artist who plan on dropping soon should just push it back.”
He later backed his claims with a photo of him, West and Durant together in a room.
In subsequent tweets Laboy claimed the album is scheduled to arrive this week.

He continued “his name is Kanye West and this new album he’s dropping this week is a classic.”
According to attendees, the album is reportedly titled Donda and will feature appearances from Post Malone, Baby Keem, Pusha T, Travis Scott, Lil Baby and Griselda.
“Donda,” the follow up to 2019’s Jesus Is King was originally set to arrive last year, but was pushed back in typical Kanye fashion.
It seems the album is truly finished and will be dropping for sure this time. Grammy nominated producer Teddy Walton made mention of a new Kanye album, which he alluded to have been a part of.
Several popular Kanye West fan accounts have also confirmed a listening party was held on July 18.
