Kanye West and Drake held their free Larry Hoover benefit conecrt on Thursday/early Friday morning at the LA Memorial Coliseum.
Kanye kicked off the historic concert with a medley of some of his clasics. Yes, the artist now known as Ye performed some of his old songs including All Falls Down, Stronger, All Day, Mercy, Touch The Sky, Good Life, Jesus Walks, All Of The Lights and Runaway. He was later joined on stage by Drake for a performance of Can’t Tell Me Nothing.
From there the 6 God took over. Drake opened his set with a cover of Kanye West’s “24” from Donda and transitioned to his kanye west diss “No Friends In The Industry.”
Drake, for reasons best known to him opted to perform some of his newer tracks to the disappointment of the fans and viewers at home.
One user wrote in all caps, “THERES NO WAY I FLEW 3,000 MILES SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO SIT UP FRONT, MAY HAVE CONTRACTED DELTA, ALL FOR DRAKE TO PERFORM FUCKING WAY TOO SEXY AND THEN LEAVE… NAH WHAT THE FUCK!!!”
Another user wrote, “Kanye ran through the classics & Drake responded by using this moment as marketing promo for his album.”
Overall the conecrt had a lot of beautiful and nostalgic moments which fans were grateful to experience.
Kanye returned to the stage for God’s Plan and they both ended the concert with a performance of Forever.
Seeing the two on stage together is not something fans would have expected to see because of their history, and have taken to social media savor the moment.
Drake continued to receive the brunt of the jokes.
