Kanye West reportedly invested somewhere in the mid to high seven-figure mark into Ice Cube and Jeff Kwatinetz’s BIG3 basketball league, reports TMZ.
The Yeezy founder alluded to his partnership with Ice Cube during Thursday’s episode of N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s Drink Champs podcast. The artist now known as Ye said he told Cube that he doesn’t sign contracts that are longer than one page.
Kanye is all about uplifting black people and businesses, and has often spoken about it in the past. In the same Drink Champs interview Kanye once again talked about fighting for black ownership.

“What I’m fighting for is there to be Elons of us, for there to be a [Black] Bernard Arnault. Because until we’re at that level, we’re just going to be clapping for getting a job. When Lebron wins a championship, he looks at this white lady and says, ‘I told you I was going to win for you.’ That’s the part I don’t like.

Ice Cube started the BIG3 in 2017 as a way to cater to NBA players that were being forced into retirement due to a perceived lost of athleticism. The league has since grown in popularity and features 12 teams competing in a 3-on-3 style league across the United States.
Back in July, the Chicago native was spotted at a BIG3 game in Las Vegas.
