Kanye West was able to raise $1 million for DMX’s family through the sales of Balenciaga designed DMX T-shirts, which was put up for sale as X’s memorial got underway on Saturday.
The custom T-shirts commissioned by Yeezy was retailing for $200 a pop, but that didn’t stop it from selling out in 24 hours.

Not only did Kanye attend the memorial at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, he was also involved in the set up as well. TMZ reports Kanye West and his Yeezy team helped in designing the stage where the Sunday Service choir performed, and where guests also spoke.
The stage looked like an inverted pyramid and was designed in partnership with renowned visual artist Akeem Smith.
DMX died Friday, April 9 at White Plains hospital, New York after suffering from an apparent drug overdose last week. His family announced his passing with a press statement.
“We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, Birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his Family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days.”
