Lil Gotit is an expert at finding unconventional pockets with his flow, his voice morphing into twisted shapes as he spits his luxury life bars. Firing up three burners for his latest opus, the Atlanta native serves up Top Chef Gotit, his latest project.
On the new project, Gotit’s flex-heavy witticisms and easy melodies cohere into a compelling aesthetic, one that relies on Gotit’s ability to create unconventional flows.
The follow-up to last year’s Hood Baby 2, Top Chef Gotit is home to recent singles like the sizzling hot “Wok,” the 69 Boyz-sampling banger “Toosie,” the simmering “Burnt N Turnt” ft. NAV, and “Work Out,” which features an appearance from Gunna, the project’s executive producer. “Top Chef Gotit” marks Gotit’s ascension into Atlanta’s trap elite, earning the official co-sign from his slimes like Young Thug. Featuring multiple appearances from his brother Lil Keed, an additional verse from NAV, and additional guest spots from Yak Gotti, Millie Go Lightly, and Lil Pj, Top Chef Gotit is available everywhere via Alamo Records.
Along with the tape, Gotit shares the video for “Get N Dere Gang,” a Top Chef Gotit highlight. A trap thumper with guest appearances from Lil Keed and Yak Gotti, “Get N Dere Gang” thrives off the chemistry of the Atlanta natives, each rapper flexing their melodic mastery over a thumping beat. In the video, the three rappers do their dance in the Georgia countryside as they mob with YSL bigwigs Young Thug and Gunna.
