Lil Nas X has revelaed that his debut studio album ‘Montero’ will arrive on September 17. The artist revaled the news on Wednesday (August 26) on Twitter along with a preview of an unreleased song.
In the short trailer the ‘Old Town Road’ crooner assumes the role of a blonde television reporter breaking the news that Lil Nas and Jack Harlow – the prisoners in the controversial ‘Industry Baby’ music video, have escaped.
“Creating this album has been therapy for me,” he said in a statement. “I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own.”
Available for pre-save now on streaming services, Montero is 15-tracks long and will also include the rapper’s recent tracks, “Industry Baby,” and his previous two singles, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” and “Sun Goes Down.”
The album follows Lil Nas X’s 2019 debut EP, 7.
