Ludacris is kicking off the new decade with dual citizenship.
American rapper and actor, Ludacris in an Instagram video revealed that he is now a citizen of Gabon, the birth country of his wife, Eudoxie Mbouguiengu.
“Starting my new year off with dual citizenship. Africa, I’m official!” He wrote.
“I am a loyal citizen of Zamunda,” he joked, while showing off his new passport. “This is the best day of my life and Wakanda, all of that.”
In the Instagram clip he also announced that his mother and two daughters also received Gabonese citizenship.
Ludacris, who has always been vocal about his love for Africa visited Ghana during the holidays to partake in the Year Of Return celebrations. Year Of Return was an initiative of the Ghanian government with the sole aim of encouraging people of African descent, whose ancestors were victims of the transatlantic slave trade, to return to Ghana.
