What Happened to Molly Matheson?
Reginald Kimbro, Molly’s former Arkansas boyfriend, paid her a visit at her apartment on April 9, 2017. He arrives at her house about 10.25 p.m. on surveillance video, and he leaves at roughly 2 a.m.
The following day, Molly skipped work. Her anxious supervisor made a call to Molly’s mom, who then made a call to Molly’s neighbor. Because of the neighbor’s report that Molly’s car was in the driveway, her mother decided to go check on her.
Her mother discovered the apartment door was unlocked, and later found her body lying in the bathroom.
Police believe Molly’s killer took her there to wash away any DNA evidence.
Reginald Kimbro entered a plea of guilty to both Molly’s rape and murder as well as the rape and murder of Megan Getrum, whom he admitted to having assaulted and killed a few days after Molly, in March 2022.
