Multiple Murder Case is still a great shock to many, as Brady Robertson, who is a 21-year-old truck driver, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for striking and killing a woman and her three small girls in Brampton.
Robertson was sentenced to 23 years in prison and a lifelong driving ban by prosecutors. Meanwhile, the defense contended that Robertson should be sentenced to seven years in prison.

Brady Robertson is known to be a 21-year-old Caledon resident, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for causing the catastrophic loss in a deadly crash in Brampton in June 2020.
He was sentenced to 17 years in prison, with the possibility of parole after serving one-third of his term and a 20-year driving ban beginning when he is released.
Robertson also had eight times the legal limit of THC in his blood, as well as an unknown amount of sedative.
The Caledon man admitted to four counts of risky driving that resulted in death but denied five other offenses, including four counts of impaired driving that resulted in death.

Peel police were pursuing the driver of an Infinity when it collided with an SUV at the intersection of Torbram Road and Countryside Drive on June 18, 2020.
At the time of the crash, Robertson was traveling at a speed of 152 km/h, according to investigators.
Robertson had already admitted to four counts of hazardous driving that resulted in death in the incident. He pled not guilty to four charges of operating while under the influence of drugs that resulted in death.
His lawyer challenged Canada’s law establishing a legal limit for THC blood concentration while driving as unconstitutional.
A public outpouring of sadness followed the fatal incident, and an online campaign for the family generated hundreds of thousands of dollars.

During the trial, the judge highlighted that when the accident occurred in Brampton, Robertson had a blood THC content of 40 nanograms per milliliter of blood, which was eight times the legal limit.
On Monday, May 16th, Justice Sandra Caponecchia of the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton avoided using the word “accident.” She claims that these crimes might have been prevented entirely.
