Young Dolph is dead.
The rapper was shot and killed in his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday (November 17).
Memphis police say the shooting took place at Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies, a local bakery which Dolph frequents.
Fox 13 writes that the owner of Makeda’s Cookies, Maurice Hill informed them “his employees said Young Dolph walked into the store to buy cookies. Someone then drove up and then shot and killed him.”
Young Dolph has been targeted several times in the past. Back in 2017, he was shot numerous times outside a shoe store in Hollywood. The incident left him with injuries in his arm and buttocks that required surgery. That same year, the Paper Route Empire CEO’s bulletproof SUV was shot at over 100 times while he was in Charlotte. An arrest warrant was issued for Blac Youngsta in connection to the shooting but the charges were eventually dropped.
Dolph taunted his assailants with the release of his Bulletproof LP, which was themed around the shooting.
Young Dolph, 36 was a hometown hero and this one really hurts. Many fans and celebrities have taken to social media to share their thoughts and condolences. Rest in power.
