During a recent interview on Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, Snoop Dogg revealed the late DMX finished recording his entire album at his Los Angeles studio following their epic VERZUZ battle.
“He actually did his whole album at my studio when we finished Verzuz,” he explained. “He never left, he stayed in L.A. and rented my studio out and did his whole album. I cooked for them, I laid it out for them. I made it feel like mi casa es su casa. That was the best moment, that he felt comfortable enough to do his album at my spot and he didn’t leave until it was done.”
Prior to his untimely death, X and Snoop treated music lovers to an epic evening of hits and grandeur at their VERZUZ showdown back in July last year.
X passed away on Friday, April 9 at White Plains hospital, New York after suffering from an apparent drug overdose. Following his demise several of his colleagues reflected on his time on earth.
