“It’s the best music we’ve ever made. Of course we’ve still got SremmLife 1 and 2 flavor, but we’re giving y’all shit y’all never heard from Rae Sremmurd before,” Swae Lee tells Billboard. “It’s just gonna be a surprise — every song you hear you’re gonna be like, “Damn, what the f—?” And all the production is crazy, you got Mike Will Made It and EarDrummers ringing off the whole album. A couple more people too, crazy features. It’s gonna be a big deal, it’s history. The world never heard this, it’s gonna be a big statement — triple disc from a group.”
SR3MM follows 2015’s SremmLife and the 2016 follow-up SremmLife 2. As for why they decided to make a triple-disc album for SremmLife 3, Jxmmi said:
“We wanted to give y’all something different because it’s one side saying, “Man, this person should go solo,” so why don’t we just end the argument and give it to you, and then give you Rae Sremmurd so you can see why we are Rae Sremmurd and who we are as individuals.”
